Our Vision
The vision of the Eliza B. Kirkbride Elementary School is that every child will learn to his/her full potential. This will be a continuous process with constant feedback, using results through various assessments. This vision can be sustained and quality professional practices will be modified and monitored to provide the best education possible for every student at Kirkbride. The vision is clear for all stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community.
Our teachers working together as the Kirkbride Instructional Team readily accept the challenge to ensure that all students receive a quality education that will allow them to achieve proficiency in school, while preparing them for a successful future. When students graduate from Kirkbride, they will be prepared for high school and beyond.
Our Mission
The mission of the Eliza B. Kirkbride Elementary School is to develop, educate, and nurture our children through the collective efforts of the teachers, parents, and community members.
Our long term goal is to produce independent, literate, and responsible citizens who possess the learning skills that enable them to continue their educational process as self-motivated, life-long learners, problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Our Description
Kirkbride is an extremely diverse school; therefore, we provide opportunities for students to learn about cultures other than their own through curricular lessons and extracurricular activities. Students are introduced to current technological advances early in their educational career so they can remain prepared for the real world. In addition, students at Kirkbride learn the values of working independently, being responsible citizens, as well as how to be a competent team member. The multicultural environment students are exposed to at Kirkbride prepares them to effectively work with all people despite differences in beliefs or cultures. At Kirkbride, students are taught to maintain a distinguished level of respect for individuality.
